Physician Assistants & Nurse Practitioners: After you submit the online course evaluation, you will receive a certificate via email which can be submitted to their accrediting body for continuing medical education credit.

Accreditation

This activity will be planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Oregon Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons. The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Target Audience/Program Focus

OAOS plans educational activities for orthopaedic doctors in Oregon and surrounding areas. We seek to serve the educational needs of our membership, as well as the needs of local and regional orthopaedic doctors. Our program is open to orthopaedic physicians and physician assistants that are currently in practice, orthopaedic physicians in residency programs, as well as retired and part-time physicians.

AAOS 2025 President

Dr. Amendola’s clinical and research interests center on advancing the understanding, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports- and activity-related conditions of the knee and ankle. He has played a key role in the original development of arthroscopic and biologic resurfacing techniques for the ankle and knee following joint injuries. His work has contributed to the introduction and evolution of numerous innovative technologies, surgical techniques, and medical devices in orthopaedics.
